Sonja Finn signs the loan papers to open DinetteChef/Owner Sonja Finn left Pittsburgh 11 years ago to study Urban Sociology at
Columbia University only to return during her summer breaks to work as a prep cook at Baum
Vivant Restaurant. After graduation, she entered The Culinary Institute of America (Hyde
Park, NY) and received a degree in Culinary Arts. Sonja spent several years cooking at
restaurants including James Beard award winners Magnolia Grill (Durham, North Carolina) and Zuni Cafe
(San Francisco, California). She resigned from her last position as Chef at the Rotunda Restaurant in San
Francisco to return home and open her own restaurant, Dinette.
